Breaking the Cycle: Saying 'No' to 'Female Genital Mutilation/Cutting'

This webinar will bring together anti-FGC advocates Istaou Jeng, Maryan Abdulkadir and Mohammad Chappalwala who utilized various strategies and engaged in dialogues with their families and community members to break the cycle of FGC. We will explore what framed their choice, and their main motivators to saying ’no’ to FGC. By allowing our speakers to shed light on the specific issues parents or caregivers face when determining whether to carry on FGC in their families, we offer additional guidance that may benefit prevention work on FGC.
