My work with Sahiyo both as a volunteer and now as an intern has definitely shaped who I want to be and what I want to do. As Sahiyo is a transnational organization, volunteers work with us remotely to support our storytelling initiative and provide both administrative and event logistical support as needed. Projects can include writing for our blog, reviewing reports, editing documents, participating in social media opportunities, and more. 

Sahiyo currently has 60+ active volunteers stationed globally (in the U.S., India, Bahrain, Pakistan, Kenya, U.K, Canada, U.A.E., and Sri Lanka).

Our Current Volunteer Needs:

  • Maintain and enhance our website.
  • Translate materials from English into Gujarat, Hindi, and other languages.
  • Research and write blog posts on FGC interventions, practices, personal experiences, etc.
  • Support social media platforms.
  • Organize, plan, and create outreach/education events on FGC.
