Sahiyo’s International Women’s Day Celebration Live Kick-Off Event

Sahiyo will hold its first ever virtual silent auction to raise $15K in support of our work to end female genital cutting. The auction will open on International Women’s Day, Wednesday, Mar. 8, 2023 and close on Sunday, Mar. 12, 2023. 

To kick off our 5-day celebration of women’s voices, we are excited to announce that on Wednesday, March 8th at 5pm PST/ 8pm EST, Zahra Noorbakhsh, hailed as a “must listen,” by Oprah Magazine, will be headlining a live virtual event to help raise awareness and funds to support Sahiyo’s work to end female genital cutting and support survivors to heal. Zahra is a Feminist Muslim, Iranian-American comedian, story producer at Snap Judgment, and cohost of the award-winning podcast, #GoodMuslimBadMuslim.
