Sahiyo presents to Babcock University students of public health

On May 6th, Sahiyo Programs Assistant Meg Sinnott spoke to students of Babcock University in Nigeria about how Sahiyo uses education and outreach programs to support survivors of FGC, as well as teach others about the practice and how to advocate against it. This event explored a variety of topics connected to FGC, including health consequences of the practice, social and cultural factors that perpetuate it, prevention and response strategies, as well as both direct and indirect experiences with FGC.
